One such condition is Jadassohn–Lewandowsky syndrome, which is a type of pachyonychia congenita – a disease that is characterized by severe thickening of the nail due to massive nail hyperkeratosis. This report describes Jadassohn–Lewandowsky syndrome and the men behind this disease.

This review discusses a selection of dermatological eponyms that are linked to Japan.

Syed Ghulam Shabbir (1923-2002) and His Syndrome  [PDF]
Khalid Al Aboud, Daifullah Al Aboud
Journal of Cosmetics, Dermatological Sciences and Applications (JCDSA) , 2011, DOI: 10.4236/jcdsa.2011.12007
Abstract: Professor Syed Ghulam Shabbir (1923-2002), is one of the Pakistani well-known dermatologists. In 1986, Shabbir and his colleagues described a novel autosomal recessive syndrome, which they called laryngoonychocutaneous syndrome. They reported this condition, in 22 patients in 12 families living in Lahore, Pakistan. This syndrome is characterized by cutaneous erosions, nail dystrophy and exuberant vascular granulation tissue in certain epithelia, especially conjunctiva and larynx. This report sheds light on Shabbir and the syndrome that bears his name.
Identity Authentication and Key Agreement Schemes for Ad Hoc Networks
Mohammad A. AL-Fayoumi,Sattar J. Aboud
Journal of Applied Sciences , 2007,
Abstract: Identity authentication and key agreement schemes play significant role in ad hoc networks. In this study, a new identity authentication scheme relies on the threshold group signature is introduced. Compared with the current schemes it is secure, efficient and adaptable to a multi-hop feature of ad hoc networks. In addition, a new key agreement scheme based on the threshold cryptography using the Lagrange interpolation theorem is suggested, its efficiency and security are examined and is claimed to be more efficient than the existing schemes.
A New Multisignature Scheme Using Re-Encryption Technique
Sattar J. Aboud,Mohammed A. AL-Fayoumi
Journal of Applied Sciences , 2007,
Abstract: Anew multisignature scheme using re-encryption technique based on the RSA algorithm is suggested what enhance version of Okamoto scheme. The suggested scheme results bit expansion in block length of the multisignature, but the bit size of the expansion is not larger than the number of signers irrespective of their modulus. In addition, the new scheme has no limitations in signing order and in fact is more efficient than the Okamoto scheme.
Secure E-Test Scheme
Mohammad A AL-Fayoumi,Sattar J Aboud,Mamoun S. AL Rababaa
International Journal of Emerging Technologies in Learning (iJET) , 2007,
Abstract: E-test is that test performed over the internet inwhich questions and solutions are computer files rather thansheets of paper. The application of e-test as a perspectiveknowledge measurement is apparent. But, security for suchscheme is not obvious. Thus in this article we introduce asecure e-test scheme with wireless networks. In addition, wesuggest a swapping technique between test application andtest security. The main contribution of the proposed schemeis to overcoming of the limitations in the milieu trust system. We are claimed that the proposed scheme is efficient andmore flexible than the milieu trust system.

In this report, we share our observation of a fourth case.
Gilbert Omenn and his syndrome
Ahmad Al Aboud,Khalid Al Aboud
Our Dermatology Online , 2012,
Abstract: Gilbert Omenn is a well-known American Geneticist. In the 1965, He reported a rare genetic disorder —later known as Omenn syndrome. This syndrome is a variant of severe combined immunodeficiency which is associated with hypereosinophilia. It is one of the differential diagnoses of neonatal erythroderma. This concise report sheds light on Gilbert Omenn and the syndrome that bears his name.
